Any recommendations for a gaming headset?

So I got home today and got to try out the Corsair Vengeance 1500 headset I ordered. Turns out it makes a humming noise whenever the mic is being used so they are being RMA'd already.

Since I am returning them I would like some recommendations on a good headset. I am kind of leery about getting another USB set, since it seems this problem was a driver issue after all the forums I read through. I would like to spend no more than $80. Thanks for any suggestions.

Seems like many usb headsets have problems. I pretty much recommend Turtle Beach non usb headsets and Koss is dang good for music. At least the more pro versions.

audio-technica ath-m50 would be a good fit given your budget. it's $10 more than your cap but so worth it - one of the best budget headsets out there
