Apps don't detect SD card

I changed my phone from a Xperia Tipo to a ZTE Blade G, in the old one with Ice Cream Sandwich I used the SD card to store muisc on Spotify and some games, but in my new phone with KitKat only the camera detects the SD card. It's the same one I used before (Kingston 8GB). In the storage section it is detected and it's free but still when I open Spotify it says "No SD card found". Is there a way of solving this?

The SD card should be reformatted in the new phone. This will serve to reestablish a new file directory. Before this is done, connect the card into a computer, and get any data off as the reformat will blank any old data off of it. Any apps will have to be reloaded from the Google Play store.

Only one app says? Is it available in file explorer? I have switched phones without formatting SD card.

I tried erasing all from the SD from the phone and still it doesn't detect it

Need to try the card in a computer. If you still cannot detect it, than the card may have gone bad.

The card is fine, my computer and the phone camera detect it, but for some reason other apps don't

I would get my data off, and reformat the card on my computer. Than try it back in the phone, and reformat it there.
