Solved! Aquos sharp not compatible with signal

Running Windows 7 Premium 64 bits, and connecting HDMI cable < 2ft between Laptop and Sharp Aquos, but getting Signal is not compatible. Both devices are brand new; what could be wrong?

Any Idea?

change the screen resolution settings on the laptop, till you find the one that works.
Or take it back to the vendor and get one that DOES work.

So you think it is defenitly the laptop settings and not the TV or cable. Any way I will try that option on different TV sets and cables before returning back the laptop.
