Arcam Alpha 7 amp does it need earthing

hi, i have an alpha 7r which has started to make a buzzing sound, does this amp need to be earthed to cure this...? please help as this is doing my head in...

If it started to make a buzz, with no input plugged in, it is a defect part inside the amp.
If it buzzes with an input only, the buzz could be from the source, not the amp.
