Are there any non-gaming headphones that support 5.1 and 7.1 virtual surround sound?

And if not, then what would be needed to support 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound?

Would getting a regular set of headphones and installing a sound card into your motherboard and tweaking your headphone's settings allow your headphones to play surround? Because I don't know if the SupremeFX onboard sound for my motherboard supports 5.1 or 7.1.

All headphones support virtual surround sound. You just need the software to do it. The first one that pops into my head is Razer's
Oh I see, can you give me any thoughts on Razer Surround?

None of them are really that good, even in the high end.
More of a gimmicky thing imo.
What is your budget for headphones and what is your intended purpose?
Most of it is dependent on the sound stage and driver quality.

My budget is flexible and I mainly play FPS games and such. I've been informed that Razer Surround can get any headset to play surround sound, so if that's true, then I should just spring for a regular pair?

I've had my eyes on Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pros for a while, because I also listen to and make some music.
