Aspect ratio when buring DVDs (tall and skinny?)

When I burn a dvd I get a tall and skinny picture no matter what aspect ratio I choose under options. What am I doing wrong? HELP!!

OK, so I answered my own question. Most people know this perhaps... Windows vista and 7 have aglitch in the dvd burning process. Even if you set it to 16:9 it will still burn at 4:3. You must transfer the file to Windows movie maker and proceed from there. I tried it and it works.
