Aspire 5920G webcam problems

Hello, I am having problems with my Acer laptop's Crystal eye webcam. Whenever I try to start the application I receive an error message saying "Camera not found!" I have uninstalled and reinstalled the device and all the drivers. Yes, my drivers are up to date, no flags in the device manager. I have removed all the pictures from "my pictures" which apparently has worked for some people. I am out of ideas. I am running Vista home x64. Which is also up to date.

I take it that this is a common problem for this model of laptop? If it is common, your best bet would be to contact acer, as they probably have a fix for it if enough people have said something to them.
