For a long time, the general concensus among video game scholars has
been that as it is, Astrosmash would have never made it as a coinop
unless the "free ships" were given much less frequently.
I have come up with an alternate scenario, and that would be if
Astrosmash were put onto a machine similer to Nintendo's "Playchoice"
where you actually pay for the time playing a game. That way, someone
could score MILLIONS on an Astrosmash machine, playing five minutes at
a time.
Has anybody converted Space Armada or Astrosmash to an arcade machine?
