Asus A54C won't turn on

As specified in the title above, my Asus A54C won't turn on. It was perfectly running some days ago, till I just shut it down as I would have always did, and now just doesn't want to turn back on.

The problem would seem to be the charger, since plugging it in to the computer wouldn't make any led to turn on, as it usually would have, even though the led located in the charger itself successfully turns on. I'm pretty confused and can't figure out how to deal with this specific situation. I do really hope to solve this, and I thank you in advance for any answer!

Off hand I would suspect a broken power jack. It is common on laptops and there are companies that specialize in that repair - I'll suggest searching broken power jack to see what it takes to repair for your model, it can be a DIY thing if you are adept at soldering, or to see where you can get it repaired

It seems to be quite hard for this model, that would take some time, but I'd do it. However, is there a way to power up the motherboard without using the power jack in order to make sure that the problem is the jack itself? Thank you anyways!

Unfortunately there is not. You might try wiggling the cable a bit while inserted to see if it's possible to get a connection through it (sometimes possible depending on how it's broke) - look for the charging light to come on
One other thing you might do is (if you have a multi-meter) check to ensure the AC power adapter is putting out the 19.5v or 22v or... it's suppose to.

Last (which I should've suggested first), attempt a reset by unplugging power adapter, removing battery then (with no power) press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, replace battery, power adapter cord, try powering on then

I tried the last one already a couple of times, unfortunately didn't work, as well as wiggling it... I was searching for a multi-meter though, to check that effectively the problem is not the charging cable but the power jack or anything else, looking at the AC power adapter output but still can't find someone having it. I think I'll definitely buy one, thank you for everything anyways!

your right! i had to work on a faulty machine and found that it was not the jack on laptop but power module.
the power module led light was on and yet no juice getting to laptop.
i cracked open the power module and pinged out from module circuit to laptop connector plug . 2x solder joints that power wire connects to 19 volt end!
and found the negative wire was dead.
the fault was were the plug reinforcement stops on wire all the outer wire had fractured simply re connect and device was working.!!.
so a cheap fix!.
those who dont like soldering buy a cheap replacement power supply.

the socket on this laptop is VERY ROBUST and unlikely to be the problem.
