Solved! ASUS Chromebook will not turn on

My daughter has a ASUS Chromebook (C223N) which has been working fine until yesterday when she plugged in a DVD drive and it swtiched off. Since then nothing I do will turn it back on. I've tried:

1. Holding down the power key for 30/60 seconds
2. Holding down the Power Key and the Refresh (F3) Key
3. Holding down the Esc, Refresh and the Power Key

It's fully charged but the LED for the battery is slow flashing white.

Can anyone help?

Could have fried the motherboard from USB port, most likely thing if nothing is happening. You can try leaving it setting unplugged for a while or disconnecting the battery and holding in the power for 15 seconds to reset the motherboard.
