This evening I was testing out an install of Android Jelly Bean that was installed to my SD Card. Since the EEE PC version of Android doesn't have a shutdown option, I had to hard shut down the system. When I started the machine again, it told me to launch startup repair. I did, and it found the solution quickly but was stuck on "repairing" for a very long time. It eventually told me that it failed to repair, but then booted perfectly back into Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit (no errors at all).

My current specs:

Intel Atom N270 @ 1.6GHz
2GB RAM
160GB Hitachi Hard Drive
Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit

I need to know if this is an issue with the hard drive or if its just Windows being stupid.

If all is normal after a proper shutdown/restart, I'd chalk it up to windows being stupid.
If you notice anything oddly slow or not right, you may want to check the hard drives SMART status, or run chkdsk /r

Thanks a lot, I'm going to run chkdsk now. It's actually been acting very past for the past couple of days so I will see what happens.
