Hello,

I recently was sold a ASUS FX504GM and was told to be working fully however when it arrived it would not power on, i have experience and background in BGA reworks as i own a repair company in the UK that revolves around this type of repair, I have narrowed down the issue and i cannot seem to find any replacement chips for this motherboard! I will include the pictures of the bits i require, if anyone has any clue on where i could find and purchase these components it would really help me out and i would be really really grateful. I purchased this in hopes i just got a good deal and finally able to have a decent laptop for once but no, as per usual people are dishonest.

Here are the pictures of the components;

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to reply, sorry for my late reply however its been super busy at my shop which is really good considering the current state of the economy.

Unfortunately this was a facebook marketplace purchase and there was videos of the device itself working so me being the person i am, i trusted the guy who sold me this (Big mistake). After it arrived i messaged him to say that the device itself is not turning on and he deleted his account... meaning i cant really return it..

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction on where to get these components as this is really my only alternative and i don't really know what else to do.

Many thanks,
Hugo Batista

Hi Hugo.

Did you have any luck in the end?
I have the same model which I bought faulty. I've only just removed the motherboard. There are no obvious signs yet.
It will not power up and trips the power supply as soon as it's connected. There isn't a short across the DC in ( reads diode drop from the diode next to the motherboard 8 pin DC connection).

Best regards,

Kris
