I'm not a big gamer, but would like to play a few games here and there. I am looking at the GL503/ GL503VD-DB74. These just came out and have a GTX 1050. The price point is right for me and will be a huge upgrade over my current laptop that's 6 years old. what are thoughts on these systems and their ability to play current games and potentially some games in the future. I know some people are thrown off by only the 1050 but these are not your normal optimus cards. afaik these are basically desktop cards in a laptop. I wouldn't mind playing games like overwatch or fallout, on this. I want to stay with asus, and 1299 is pretty much my top price point. thoughts?

It is cheaper, and yes it does also haveG-sync. But the ssd is SATA III and only 128GB. The motherboard on the 503 has NVMe and they use SSHD's for 5400RPM configurations, also much better speakers, and cooling. Hence the higher pricepoint for the 503 models
