Frequently when I re-awake my new Asus laptop, I get the Windows sign in screen, but my keyboard is dead. I can move the mouse. It shows wi-=fi is connected. I just can't type in a password. I have to do a a hard re-boot with the hardware power button to get past this.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi,

Please do try changing some settings in Power Options that may do the trick.
- Open Power Options then click on Change Plan Settings then Change Advanced Power Settings.
- Expand Hard Disk then set Turn off Hard disk after to NEVER.
- Expand Sleep and set Allow hyrbid sleep to OFF.
- Set Hibernate after to NEVER.
- Click Apply and OK then test it again and see if the same problem will persist or not.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've made the changes you recommend. The problem is infrequent so I will give it a week and post back if the issue has been resolved.

Thank you for the help.
