Asus laptop not turning on

i have a strange issuse with my laptop. It doesnt turn on unless i move ribbon cable for the keyboard. Then it turns on and the keyboard works fine. But then if it turns off again or goes to sleep it no longer works unless i do that again.

Is there a way to fix this.

Hi, instead of moving the keyboard cable, try moving the adapter cable, maybe the adapter cable or the DC jack is defective.

the battery works fine and the dc port also does. When i move the ribbon cable it turns on and if i have it plugged in it begins to charge.

But when it is in the state of not turning on it refuses to charge
