asus locked out

I have a ASUS laptop and when I turned it on I have been locked out . I have a bat light and a lock light on. I tried to do the battery trick but it didn't work. I have no idea what key to hit to get it out of lock mode

What exactly do you mean you are locked out, what shows up on the screen when you turn on the computer?

Nothing. After completing tries to load nothing happens. Black screen

After completing tries to load, what is this completing thing? Was it doing updates? Start at the beginning. You turn on the laptop and what comes up? Does the BIOS screen come up? Does Windows starts to load. Need exact messages. A blank screen is not being "locked out", it may be a bad screen, maybe a failed operating system, maybe a motherboard issue, RAM issue, quite a few things.
