ASUS N61JV-X2 spdif support

hey guys does the asus n61jx-x2 support spdif? on amazon (http/www.amazon.com/N61JV-X2-16-Inch-Versatile-Entertainment-Laptop/dp/B00352LQYO) it says 1x Headphone-out jack (SPDF support). is spdf same as spdif? im trying to connect my laptop to my z5500 through a coaxial.

ah, that was really stupid on my part for not checking the asus website but i am still having troubles connecting my laptop to the z5500. i connected through my headphone jack and the port behind the z5500 control pod and set the realtek digital output as default but my z550 keeps reporting no digital data for input coax

I've personally never tried to set up a pair of those speakers, so I'm pretty useless to you in that department. Sorry bud.

this is the wire i am currently using. when i plug it into my headphone jack, it feels loose. do i need to purchase an adapter? btw my internal sound card is alc269 and im running window 7

edit: yea it seems like i needed to convert the cable to 3.5mm jack. hopefuly it will fix my problem

aright so i got a 3.5mm to rca converter that allowed me to plugin my coax to my 3.5mm (spdif supported) to back of my z-5500 but i am still geting "no digital data" when my input is coax on my z-5500. i have already set my laptop's output to digital yet my z5500 cant pick up any data. can anyone help me?
