Hi,

I have problem fixing a problem with my brothers Asus laptop. He just got it a year ago. The problem is that directly when you turn on the laptop the BIOS shows up. I cannot change bootorder because it does not give me the option to. It does'nt even let me go to boot priorities.

Model: ASUS R510CC-XX439H

- Bios version: 217 (just upgraded it to 300 using "easy flash")
- CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3537U 2.00GHz
- Memory amount in GB: 4
- GPU: Onboard Integrated
- HDD: 500gb
- AC Adapter: Original
- Operating system: Windows 8

Things i have allready tried with the same end results:

- Draining remaining power by unplugging battery and holding power button for 1 min
- Unplugging hdd and turn on laptop
- Putting new hdd in and turn on laptop
- Upgrading bios from version 217 to 300 using easy flash
- Can't launch CSM (Shows disabled but cannot chang it)
- Cannot change boot priorities (Won't let me choose boot priorities)
- Disabled fast boot and restarting it. Also enabled fast boot and did the same
- SATA mode selection from AHCI to IDE and restarted it. And changed it back.

Cannot go anyware but the BIOS. Is the motherboard broken? Because i know it's not the HDD.
I have looked on several forums but haven't found any good anwsers. Please help.

Thanks

Do you know where i can find the latest version.
Because it keeps giving me this message when i downloaded the latest version from asus support and using easy flash:

I found something on a different thread as you can see above.
I can get through the first 4 steps but not in the same order. I had to disable "Secure Boot Control" first before i was able to enable "Launch CSM".
I could get any windows installation going (with cd and usb), But when i got to the part where i have to choose a drive. It does not show me any drives. As you already know the bios does not recognize any hdd's. And i already tried a different hdd. Currently checking if downgrading bios works. What can i do to make it recognize hdd?

1) Go to bios and disable Secure boot
2) Then try to enable "Launch CSM" in BIOS
3) After that "Launch PXE OpROM" option apeears, enable it too.
4) Reboot
