Asus R558UR Disassembly

I want to replace the DVD with a SSD in my Asus R558UR laptop. So far i've tried, i cannot open it. There seems to be 12 screws in the bottom panel as shown in image. I cannot find any screws/flaps on the palmrest.

I removed all the screws marked in image. But the cover won't open. Are there some extra hidden screws?

Probably. A lot of laptops require the keyboard to be removed as there are screws under it. Let me see if I can find a guide for you.

In this one a credit card is used to separate the keyboard area from the bottom of the laptop once the bottom screws are removed.

Thanks @BadAsAI So i called up their customer support and sadly (expectedly) enough, they told me to visit their service centre to open up the laptop. LoL

Anyway, i figured out that they have hidden screws under the bottom rubber pads!~ You have to tear them open to access those hidden screws. Case is now open (and closed). [And warranty is void.]
