Processor Intel Core i7-4720HQ (4-core, 2.60 – 3.60 Ghz, 6MB cache)

RAM 4GB – DDR3, 1600MHz

HDD/SSD 1TB HDD (7200rpm)

Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M (4GB DDR3)

Last year i purchased this laptop. It came along with 4gb of ram. But now 4g seems to lagging to me. I am interested in upgrade. I have shortlisted two rams. GSKill ram http://www.amazon.in/G-SKILL-Ripjaws-204-Pin-SO-DIMM-F3-1600C9S-8GRSL/dp/B00GIHPP8Q?ie=UTF8&keywords=G.SKILL%208GB%20X%201%20DDR3%201600mhz&qid=1476544397&ref_=nav_signin&s=electronics&sr=1-3
and Corcair http://www.amazon.in/Corsair-Voltage-1600Mhz-Laptop-CMSO8GX3M1C1600C11/dp/B00EHJ5U0K
. Any insight on which one i should purchased.
i would like to keep the current ram also into system. So that will make 12gb of ram. Other options are also welcomed.

Solution
Dont go with 12gb it wont run in dual channel and would be slower than 8gb or 2x4gb of the same exact ram, or even 2x8gb.

I recommend that you get rid of the stock 4gb ram and go with 16gb of the gskill ram as its of a higher quality overall.
