Asus Ultrabook S301LA num lock issue sort of

I recently received an Asus Ultrabook S301LA and have been using it fine since. somehow I have turned something on that now shows P as * ; as- and backslash / as +.. I am able to enter the letters and normal characters as long as I hold the function key down...however it is not truly acting like I turned on the 10 key/num lock.. it is just the mathematical symbols that are turned on.. I have looked all over this keyboard and I cannot find the num lock key .. I have checked the language that is set up for this laptop and the region they are all correct. also rebooted on the off chance it would reset.. can anyone tell me how to turn this off please?
