Obvisouly the Asus laptop is by far the best option but I have heard that it is not a good brand.Which one shall I pick?

Yes get the Asus model. Plus, Asus is a better brand than HP.

It depends on what you are doing with this machine. The hp maybe weaker but it is a good laptop if you only use it for normal use with the occasional game. This assumes you don't mind the lower res.

If you like things in 1080p then the asus is the one for you. It has better cooling and is good for more intense things.
