Has anyone any details of the performance of this machine with the 5Y71 CPU?
All the reviews that I've found are with the 5Y10 processor but it has lower clock speeds compared to the 5Y71 and yet it's not clear which would be the better system to get in terms of an optimum performance consideration.

The 5Y71 would provide a bit better performance since the base clockspeed is 100MHz higher and the max turbo boost speed is 300MHz higher. It is still slower than a Core i3 CPU.

I was more interested to know the Core-m performance *in this machine* given it's thermal design parameters. I already have a 5Y71 but knowing the theoretical specs on paper is no substitute for the actual hardware implementation.

It is still slower than a Core i3 CPU.

It's a popular misconception. 5Y71 is on par with mobile i5-5200U (Broadwell, too) and has the same single-core performance desktop i5-4460 (but loses to desktop i5 in multicore)
