Asus Zenbook + Yahoo Mail - When composing I suddenly lose the entire message.

I have been a Yahoo Mail user for many years. Last year I purchased an Asus Zenbook. Frequently, when I'm typing an email message, the message suddenly disappears mid-stroke. It's as if I've mistakenly hit a CTRL shortcut or some weird sequence, but I havent. I can't figure out WTF is going on! Any ideas?? I don't have this problem on any other PC. Only the Zenbook. TIA, Lily P.S. In the Drafts folder, it has only saved the few new letters I was typing as the disappearance happened.

Edit: I just found a thread elsewhere where someone is describing my same problem (on gmail). While none of the suggestions for "why" it's happening seem to fit, someone did recommend to do CTRL Z when it happens, to "undo". I tested this out and it does seem to work so will try it next time the vanishing text problem happens! L

Odd things happening when typing on laptops is often someone hitting the touchpad by accident. Try an external keyboard and mouse with the laptop and see if it does the same thing.
