ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470

hello i have a quick question I have Toshiba satellite a300-1m9 laptop with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 video card last week I opend it up because It was getting to hot while I was replacing the thermal compound I found that I can remove my video card now I was thinking of upgrading it because it has only 256m of memory.
anyone here now what video card with 512mb of memory comes after ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470.

Is your video card connected to a pci slot?or is it just a chip soldered to the mobo?and how does it come off?even if your mobo can handle an upgraded card ur bios probably wont.
