audio control by keyboard

On my toshiba satelitte L55-C5272 with Windows 10 64 bit, I used to be able to control my speakers with my keypad. Now I have to click on the icon in my try and then use the slide bar etc to control them. What happened and how can I get my previous mode of control back. Thanks

Check Toshiba support for hotkey software you can install. Not sure why it would just stop working, did you miss putting in any more details about when this stopped working? Did you install Windows clean again or was there a Windows update? Did you try a system restore to a date before the issue started.
