So I recently performed a clean install on my Asus ROG G750, and have been having audio problems ever since. It was sounding a little muffled, but I turned on the loudness equalizer and that seemed to help it a little. However, it doesn't always register when I turn the volume up or down. For instance, I may turn the volume down from 20 to 10, but when I go to watch a video it will still be playing as if the audio was still at 20. I have checked that my audio drivers are up to date, unless i'm missing one or something. It's just starting to get frustrating.

Solution
You're probably using basic Microsoft audio drivers.

Get your audio drivers from the laptop site itself. (You can try the Realtek site if stuck, but I advise the laptop site because sometimes they add in tweaks to work with their hardware or other software)

The Intel chipset drivers should be fine. I'll see if I can find a link.

I see only two possible ones, and both probably have the same audio drivers:

Latest version appears to be: Version V6.0.1.7945

Just download and run this. It should replace your current settings.

Yeah turns out I needed to do that. The drivers for this specific model are only for W8, but it still seems to have done the trick after I enabled the loudness equalizer. Thanks, i'll post back here if something goes wrong!
