Battery Life Of Nexus 7

I want to know how long will battery last in nexus 7 (years,months)before it completely conks off & will require replacing by Asus.
Does Asus service centres provide such battery changing facility
pl let me know asap as i want to buy the tab but its costly ,so i wanna to the longivity of tab & battery

Um, you are the only one who can answer that question. Nexus 7 has a battery autonomy of about 8 h. Lithium-ion batteries have a lifespan of about 1000 charge/discharge cycles (500 for lithium-polymer), which means that you can get around 8000 hours total (in theory, asuming that battery capacity will not degrade). So, you calculate, you know how much hours you would be using it a day, how many day a week and so on. So, if you using it 4 hours a day, every day, it will last you about 5,5 years (in theory, because the battery capacity will degrade with time and with increase of charge/discharge cycles count).

The battery in Nexus 7 Is Li-Po though,so is it bad & have less life than Li-ion Batteries? I always thought Li-Po were better back up & longer life the kind found in Nokia N8 & other devices.
One more thing are you aware of Asus replacing the battery post warranty if the old ones run down completely?
I tried contacting asus with this issue but did not get any reply from them.

I just ran across your question after all this time and thought I'd answer. I have both a Nexus 7 2012 and 2013. I got them both new, always keep them charged and ready to go and neither have had a battery fail yet by September 2016. If either of them ever do, they now have replacement battery kits that are around $50 and fairly easy to install. It just requires a little patience and time. Maybe an hour tops for replacement.
