Battery Light Problem

The battery indicator light on the side of my new ASUS laptop does not function as described in the manual.
According to the manual:
-Solid green = plugged in and fully charged
-Solid orange = plugged in and charging
-Blinking orange = unplugged and battery is below 10%
-No lights = unplugged and battery is above 10%

On my laptop:
-The battery light blinks orange despite the battery reading at 93% in the task bar and in settings
-The battery light blinks orange when the laptop is both plugged in and unplugged
-The battery light constantly blinks orange regardless of anything

This problem was noticed during the first hour of use (I'm not sure if the laptop started this way or not. I'm running windows 10.

Did it come loaded with W10 or did you put in W10 AFTER?

Check for a BIOS update.

Check the manual's date, when was it written?

Have you gone through a couple of charge cycles? Use until batt almost depreted, then let it charge on its own overnight.

-it came preloaded with Windows 10
-where would I find a bios update?
-the manual appears to be written in 2016
-I have not run through battery cycles but I will and get back to you

Whatever you do, don't sit on it. Don't like it, return it within no-question-asked period.
