Im looking for the best anti virus software for a gaming pc that doesn't Interfere with gaming, Please help!!!!!

I had bit defender 2011 and it interfered with all the games i play! so i had to uninstall bit defender!

Did u try the game mode in the bit defender? It shouldn't interfere.

i have tried that and it still gives me problems running games! the only solution i could find is to uninstall.

I love bit defender and it helped me with allot of viruses in the past but im a bit put down when it started to mess with the games i ran!

I use GDATA Internet Security Suite.It is a dual antivirus suite,that uses the virus detection engines from avast and bitdefender.It is light on resources.

when playing offline you can pause your antivirus which is better than uninstall, it does not effect your PCs protection and will not affect performance as it becomes inactive till you resume protection, when online switch to game mode in any anti virus you have

Dear night_wolf,

I have a x6 core and 2GB RAM (one broke) and still I don't have any issues with anti-virus software. I play Crysis 2/Las Vegas 2 online.
Can your system cope?

I tried Bit-Defender/Norton (demo) and more, no issues.

Definitely Avast is the best choice.

To my mind Bitdefender will be good enough for a virus protection and its developers claim, the soft will not slow down the process of playing (didn't verify by myself, though).
