Here's a Simple list of what I will be using them for:

-Music (Electronic, House, Trance, Dubstep, Melodic Dubstep, Chillstep.)
-Competetive FPS games (Good sound stage)
-Open Back design (I want to hear the ambient environment in games)
-Bass (I would like some Bass but nothing over the top)
-Amazing Sound Quality (Ofcourse)

Thats pretty much it! I was looking at the Sennheiser 558's but they cost 200 Euros where I live! Way too expensive!

Thanks in advance!

well i havent personally tried the HyperX so i cant say much in that regard, however if we were to take Dmitry's word, they are the best $100 headsets and their soundstage is similar to the Sennheiser 558 so if you dont like them feel free to blame it all on him :) , you will get a...

The Plantronics Gamecom 780 headset is very good, it's about £40, made of a very durable plastic with metal connecting the earcups to the headband, the headband and earcups are padded with velvet and leather, it has 7.1 virtual surround sound. I've owned these for about a year, the sound quality is amazing for the price, I play competetive games such as CS GO and listen to music, the virtual surround sound helps a lot for hearing things like footsteps in game, and makes music sound much better.

agree with moozilbee to a limit, the gamecom 780s are indeed one of the best headsets around, however the fact that they are usb means that most modern motherboards like the gaming 5 will be superior in terms of audio fidelity but the gamecoms will not be able to take advantage of it. And the plastic connecting the headbands is less than durable with most of them breaking in 6 or so months, atleast thats what most consumers have experienced. For that money, the Kingston HyperX cloud pro is a beast. Its fairly new with 53mm drivers in that price-point http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826468001 and has amazing audio with balanced lows-meds and highs

If not the hyperX, for slightly less the siberia V2 are amazing (available in different colours as well) http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826249043&cm_re=siberia_v2-_-26-249-043-_-Product

review:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vT_n07FD7J8

However, if you have a motherboard that is not particularly good on the audio side, the gamecom 780s are pretty darn good, if you could let us know what motherboard you exactly have

True, the plastic is strong on the earcups but the headband does bend quite a lot, if you're not careful it may snap, I've never had a problem with it however, just something to watch out for.

My Motherboard is the GigaByte H87M-D3H and I don't have a sound card.

Also I asked for Headphones not Headsets, I have no need of a mic, also I heard that any headphones will crush a headset in the same price point.
I would love to have some professional studio headphones instead of some "Gaming" Headset, not to be rude or anything. But thanks for the answers
Would Love to hear some recommended "Headphones"
But I'll check those recommendations out nontheless

You do have a sound card, it's integrated into your motherboard, I believe the Plantronics headset bypasses it however as it uses USB.
Anyway, headset or headphones really doesn't matter, the mic on the plantronics headset is small and out of the way if you never use it, it's fairly hidden. A headset does not automaticaly have worse sound quality, the Plantronics headset still has some of the best sound quality you can get for the price. You can probably get some slightly better sounding headphones if you look, however overall the Plantronics are very good, they're much more comfortable with the velvet and leather than most headphones I've seen.

From these recommendations I would go for the Kingston HyperX cloud pro. But is there any more recommendations? Like I asked in the first post, I would like to have open back headphones if possible.

EDIT: Also do you think the Kingston HyperX cloud pro will be great on the H87M-D3H motherboard's integrated soundcard?

the hyperX cloud pros audio output is better than what your motherboard can provide. Essentially, you have a headset that is not working at its full capability because your motherboards audio simply isnt good enough. An amp/ dac like the O2 mayflower is pretty much what you would need to get the hyperX cloud pro or any headphone/ headset in that price range to produce sound that it is capable of producing.
what do you think of these btw? http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/audio-technica-headphones-athm30 they're closed-back but are very very good
as far as open-backed goes, cant really find any that are good in this price range, but i'm looking so i'll post back soon :)
also apologies for misunderstanding your initial post, mostly people just use headphones/ sets inter-changeably even though its not technically right. Even i do that sometimes :)

EDIT: what do you think of these for open-back? seem to be particularly good http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-DT-990-Pro-250-Professional-Acoustically-Applications/dp/B0011UB9CQ also Beyer Dynamic so we know they're from a dedicated audiophile grade manufacturer , btw as a side note the hyperX also uses beyerdynamic technology and even though they're closed-back they have a pretty decent sound stage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8qk0VEt2r8

I was looking at the The ATH-m30 before but because they are closed-back.. ehhh don't think I'll Like them..
Also HardwareCanucks is my favorite reviewer, thats what made me choose the HyperX instead of the other one/s

And the Beyerdynamic DT-990's are a bit out of my price range, but I would like to have them.
Also Thanks for the recommendations! I'm quite picky so I can't really decide what headphones/Headset to go with. But I guess I'll go with the HyperX and I'll consider getting an amp, I will just remove the mic from the headset and call it headphones :)

Also how much does that Amp cost? I couldn't find it

ok thats fine. The DAC i mentioned http://lifehacker.com/five-best-digital-to-analog-converters-dacs-483393503 (the second one down) The O2 mayflower ODAC has different versions lets just say, as the above article says you can buy the standalone version without the AMP (pretty reasonable at that price) and do some DIY, or you can get the pre-build DAC without the AMP and pay more or you can get the whole DAC+AMP pre-built and pay a premium, at which point this is just un reasonable.
this is the DIY version http://www.jdslabs.com/products/39/odac-objectivedac/
this is the DAC assembled version http://www.jdslabs.com/products/46/standalone-odac/
this is the whole DAC+AMP thing http://www.jdslabs.com/products/48/o2-odac-combo/

the first DAC+AMP mentioned in that article, the FIO Alpen E17 is pretty darn good for the price, and with this your headset/ headphones should sound very very good, however unless you're an audiophile getting an external DAC is not common with most people, however with that said the FIO will make stuff sound very very good with the HyperX or the DT-990s, The FIO DAC is very good indeed i have seem some reviews, however you can check reviews out yourself as well if you wish

as for the hyperX or the DT-990s, thing with audio is, the more you pay the better the audio experience is (usually)
The HyperX has a freq. response of 15-25,000hz while the Beyer has 5-35,000hz ,plus the DT-990s are open while the HyperX are closed, now theoretically that means that the Beyer will sound better and more natural than the HyperX however i have heard some amazing things about the HyperX in terms of audio when used with quality DACs, so cant really say anything there.
overall, you should indeed go with either the HyperX or the DT-990s and the FIYO DAC i talked about earlier

EDIT: also found this DAC+AMP http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/products/dacmagic-xs-usb-dac-headphone-amp , very very nice with simpler connections, get this or the FIYO based on which ones cheaper really

I didn't think that they were that expensive, they cost more then the headphones themselves!
So basically its not worth buying very good headphones like the DT-990s if I'm going to use onboard sounds right? or is it just a bit of a waste?
At the moment I'm using these Stereo headphones http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-SE-M390-Performance-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B0033PROP8 They are quite good but very uncomfortable! I don't know much about headphones but I think they have better frequency then the HyperX,

I'm quite lost now no idea what to do. But what I do know now is that I won't be getting an amp/ dac. I can't spend so much money on the audio side of things, but I still want some great stereo headphones.

Any other last recommendations for stereo headphones without a dedicated sound card or an amp/ dac under 100 Euro's?

I didn't want this thread to be so long but I'm just having a hard time deciding, sorry.

[strike]I might just go with the DT-990 Pro 250 ohms will they sound fantastic on the onboard sound or is an amp necessary?[/strike]

EDIT: I might just get it over with and go with the HyperX without an amp and hope that I will be satisfied.

yeah ok you can just get the HyperX and then if you feel like it a couple of months later, you can get an AMP/DAC then if you feel like it :) as in order to get the best out of these cans you will need an AMP/DAC

but just a couple of things to keep in mind, the HyperX has an impedance of 60 ohms, what that means is that your motherboard will output slightly lower volume than on other headphones. The pioneer headphones you linked earlier have an impedance of 32ohms, all this means is that you would have to increase the volume bar a little bit more to get the same loudness with the HyperX.
One more thing, give this a go http://www.razerzone.com/gb-en/surround it doesnt work miracles, but definitely improves your audio experience, you'll have to tweak things around in the software to get the best experience, (be sure to turn the bass of or lower it in the software though as your headsets are already too bassy)
Also, what is the maximum you can pay for an AMP/DAC ?

I don't know yet about how much I can spend on an Amp/Dac, the headset itself costs quite a bit, so I'm just aiming for headphones/headset at the moment.
I'm at 50% volume with these headphones currently so it shouldn't be a problem with the 60 ohms I hope.

Also what do you think if I get the last second chance to buy the DT-990's, should I go for them? even tho I don't have an amp? or is 250 ohms too much?

no 250ohms is way over the top unless you overvolt your boards audio (not recommended unless you absolutely know what you're doing)

Ah alright then, Only thing I'm worried about the HyperX is that when I tried out my brothers JVC ha-m750 headphones they sounded so terrible and enclosed compared to mine... and they costed twice as much as my headphones, I couldn't hear the wind and the ambient sounds or the footsteps in games like Battleifeld 3 when I tried my brothers headphones on, I really really hope its not the case with the HyperX, they cost like 93 Euro's where I live.

The JVCs have gotten some mixed reviews http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B002KQ7ISO
Regardless, looking at several reviews the HyperX have been hailed as pretty much the best sounding headsets for the money so i hope you like them, feel free to post back here what you think of them as well if you buy them

EDIT: i cant find technical specs on the JVCs but maybe their impedance was too high for your system? you know you should still buy the HyperX because the reviews are amazing

+1. This is definitely the highest and best quality to price headset.

OP, the HyperX is also a headset that you will not regret.

This is a bit late but as promised. I'll leave my feedback on the headphones I got. Yes I got the HyperX and they sound pretty good... they are very comfortable... Only thing is I don't like is that in some songs I can't hear some tones as good as I could with my older headphones, but I can still hear them fine... its just not as clear... Probably because my older headphones had a wider frequency response. But its nothing big... Certainly I'm happy with these headphones!
