Best Video Playing

Hello forum, I have a very simple question about tablets and video playback. Our company wants to move Revit and I'm in charge of learning it and teaching it to them. The best way to learn new software is by watching video tutorials but the problem is that tutorials never come in the same video format. I want to watch these videos on the go but the apple products we have at the office only play very few video formats, most formats are not recognized by itunes. Video encoding and formatting is out of the question. Now, which is or are the best tablets for video playback? I'm looking for something that just recognizes as many video formats as possible, any os, any size, any brand. if you know which one is the best for this please let me know thanks .

I am not familiar with Apple products, but have you looked in their apps store for programs that will allow apple products to play "non standard" video formats?

For example, I encode my videos to MKV format using the H.264 codec. However, Android OS does not support MKV video, however using an app like BSPlayer Free, I am able to play my MKV video files on my 2012 Nexus 7.

A quick Google search gave me one Apple app that can playback many different video formats. It's called Playable. I'm sure there are other similar apps as well.

Many sites these days use videos based on silverlight or flash, neither of them will be found in apples app store natively.

I dont know of anything that will play silverlight but you can work around flash by installing Skyfire or Photon browsers (if your company allows it)

Or just have them get you PC/Laptop.

thanks for your help. I installed playerxtreme, this plays everything, and ifunbox to add files to to ipad and phone without itunes. Now All videos work on any apple device!!

I was looking at the nexus 7 as an alternative and i think im just going to get one for myself
