Bluray and lcd tvs

Tv started out ok now has nopicture with bluray reg tv plays fine second bluray same thing

When you say 'second bluray same thing' do you mean you hooked up a different bluray player or do you mean you put a different bluray disc in the same player?

This is the second machine I have purchased that did this same yhing.

ok .... did the second machine come with it's own hdmi cable (the cable that goes between the machine and the tv) or did you use the same cable that was with the first machine?

Also ... when both the tv and the bluray player are on and ... you hit the input button on the tv remote and select hdmi ... what does the tv do ... does it say no device connected? or does it do anything at all?
