Bought Roku off line how do I go get code to purchase apps without factory resetting the roku

Bought a Roku off line and can't get channels cause don't know code and don't want to factory reset it so how could I get the code

Toms hardware community cannot help in bypassing any passwords or lock codes in any way other than saying contact the manufacturer for instructions.
