The kid clearly has the making of a sociopath. I'm not familiar with Russian mental health procedures (they use the ICD-9?), but in the US, the diagnosis for sociopathy is called Antisocial Personality Disorder, or ASPD. The diagnosis does not apply to those under the age of 18--the closest things would be Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Conduct Disorder (CD) (the latter is a requisite for being diagnosed with ASPD later in life).

The kid had no remorse for killing his father, considering that he went back to playing games immediately afterward...

Can't blame bad parenting in this case because the story doesn't have all the facts. And you can't blame video games period as it's never their fault there is always an underlying problem. Video game simply maybe the trigger.

If my parents took my computer away, I'd probably be pretty pissed off, but there's no way I would ever hurt them over it, let alone kill one of them. I agree with other people that he needs a mental hospital rather than prison.

My son's keyboard is wireless... so it makes it very easy to take away. He was so happy to have such a cool looking "wireless" keyboard, but I had plans to make it easy for me so I wouldn't have to unhook wires.

Next step to get around on-screen keyboards (as someone posted), I can password the computer and other restrictions.

Oh my god, way to mess things up for everyone.. There is really two ways to take this story, should kids have violent video games, or are violent video games just exacerbating a preexisting psychological problems.

It's a little bit bs, but I can still see this being cited in Australia as an argument against 18+ games, even though the argument for 18+ games is to prevent things like this from occurring.

Just a tragedy really :-(

My Mom always do this to me (Getting the keyboard) but I bought my own keyboard and mouse.. just to be ready.
How could he think of doing this!? The kid should goto hell. I am just twelve, and I am very shocked of what the older boy had done to his own father. Like. o-o I cant imagine it.
