I have a custom built 5.1 speaker with analog inputs LF LR RF RR Sub. I want a media streaming device like Roku, Amazon Fire TV kind of, to connect my TV and 5.1 Speakers with the options to connect USB external hard disk to watch bluray movies. I dont want multiple hardwares like Optical to RCA and Optical to Media Streaming Device and Media streaming device to TV.

I would think you would use a toslink (optical multichannel audio) to analog converter something like this -- http://www.amazon.com/Coosis-Surround-Digital-Decoder-Converter/dp/B009W5B77E

You may not want multiple hardware, but you will probably be forced to have it. To minimize cost and size, streaming devices don't have multiple analog ports. You can build a HTPC which could have multiple analog out. I don't believe you will find a commercial device with the ports you desire.

Thanks kanewolf. So if that's the case, what can be the best hardware pairing. Can you suggest few. I want the cost to be low and good product.
