Budget laptop under 500

Hi! I'm looking for a laptop for school under 500. I need it to be under 1kg and have a small profile as the desks are small. I would prefer a windows laptop (for games during the holidays) but a chromebook that can run x86 programs in ubuntu would be fine too. If it is possible under 400 dollars/ euros would be good, but I think I can stretch my budget to 500. I will be buying of amazon uk.

A ultrabook is pretty much always above 500. Also running games on such a low end laptop is just not going to happen.

A ultrabook is pretty much always above 500. Also running games on such a low end laptop is just not going to happen.

I'm ok with not being able to play games on a laptop. Gaming is not that important for me as I have a pc for that but I do need something for typing and maybe image editing in GIMP. I only wanted to play some lower end titles like TF2 or 2d platformers on lower settings, but I don't need it to,
