I want to buy a new laptop to play a game with recommended system requirements of:
OS: Windows® 7 32-bit/64-bit
CPU: Intel® CoreTM i7 2.66GHz or higher
RAM: 4GB or more
HDD/SDD: Installation: 15GB of free space; Download: 6GB of free space on the drive containing "My Documents"
Graphics Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 460 or better with VRAM 768MB or more
Sound Card: DirectSound® compatible sound card (DirectX® 9.0c or higher)
Internet Connection: Broadband or better (always-on)
Resolution: 1280x720 (32-bit) or higher
DirectX®: DirectX® 9.0c

I'm wondering if this laptop would play the game well, please help.

The short answer is no, At least not well.

My guess is the game would run only on the lowest settings at at low FPS. Possibly not at all.

What game is it?

Honestly, you're looking at spending around at least triple that amount to get a laptop that would come even close to meeting those requirements.

Is building a desktop not an option? That might be able to be accomplished for around 500.

I just want to make it clear that those are the recommended requirements not minimum.
The minimum requirements are :
Operating System: Windows® Vista 32/64bit, Windows® 7 32/64 bit
Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo
Graphics: NVIDIA® Geforce® 8800 Series, ATI Radeon™ HD 4770
Memory: 2GB (4GB recommended for 64bit OS)
Disk Space: 20GB.

It's Final Fantasy 14 A Realm Reborn, surely can't be that demanding (3x the price).
