I have a new air conditioner which plugs directly to a normal socket. When it is on, or more specifically, when the compressor kicks in, all speakers in my apartment buzz. That is, my PC speakers, and the TV speakers, both at opposite sides of the apartment. This makes it unbearable to have both speakers and the AC on.
I am assuming that the compressor is adding harmonic noise to the electricity in my apartment, and the subwoofers are picking it up and amplifying it, since that's their job.
Is there something I can do about this...? Like some adapter between the wall socket and the AC, that will stop it from introducing noise?
Thanks.
