Hello guys :) 1 month ago something happened and now I can not use my laptop camera in internet. To see if the problem is from the camera I've downloaded a virtual camera software like Manycam and still not working in internet. I've tried both ( the inbuilt cam and virtual cam ) in skype and they are working fine, but in websites like testmycam, omegle, chatroulette etc. the webcam is not working. What I've done so far :

  • Tried different browsers like Mozzila and Opera ( no success )
Uninstalled Adobe Flash and installed it again ( no success)
Downgraded Adobe Flash to random older version ( no success)
I'll be very happy if you can help me. Thanks in advance :)

Laptop: Asus N56VZ Windows 7

Hi,

Please do try to uninstall/reinstall the webcam driver just to make sure it works on all app in your laptop.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the webcam driver.
- Download and install the webcam driver from Asus support site.
- Here's the link:
1st. http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/N56VM/LifeFrame3_Win7_64_Z311.zip
2nd.http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/Apps_for_Win8/Virtual_Camera/Virtual_Camera_Win8_64_Z1026.zip
- Reboot the laptop for all the changes to take effect.

If these steps didn't work, try these.
- Use a different browser like Google Chrome or internet Explorer.
- Google Chrome download: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95346?hl=en

OK something serious is going on ... Like you said I've uninstalled and installed again the webcam driver and opened "LifeFrame" when I open it, it says "The camera is disabled" and won't detect my USB 2.0 Webcam, restarted windows -> no success BUT when I open Skype the webcam works perfectly o_O
