can 4 RAM sticks put too much pressure on the MC?

hello, im looking to buy a B150 motherboard which has 4 memory slots. i want to use 4x4GB configurtion of DDR4 2133 mhz. but my friend says that using a lot of memory sticks puts pressure on the Memory Controller of the CPU and can cause crashes.... what should i do? buy 2x8GB or 4x4GB? i want to use a i5 6500 and i will be buying this kit:

Just go 2x8 it's usually cheaper, no slower and gives you upgrade options later if for some reason you needed to. It's not gonna try your MC but there is just no upside to a 4x4 kit

It'll be fine. It isn't even XMP, and Skylake can handle it easily. Maybe on 10-15 year old systems, but not now. No real reason to get 4x4 tho.

I would recommend you to get a 2x8GB Kit to run dual channel, as that is supported.

It isn't supported on most motherboards, the maximum is dual channel in most cases.

Quad channel is like 5% faster than dual maybe less... But skylake chips don't do quad channel. And memory bottlenecks aren't really a thing right now.

The CPU only supports dual channel and yes quad channel is faster, So get the 2x8 kit.

the only time a set of 4 ram sticks effects the memory controller is if your overclocking. Since you are looking at a B series board and a non- K processor you do not need to worry about this effecting your system. BUT it is usually cheaper to get 2X8GB sticks like mentioned earlier.

That cooler is one of the best on the market. It will be more than enough. And personally I like Vengeance RAM. Its basically OEM Dominator, with lesser (totally pointless) heatsinks and no fancy LED's.

Don't put an $85 cooler on a non k processor. Just get something quiet. Mind posting your proposed build? Seeing a few things you've posted I bet I can either cut a big chunk off the price or increase performance a good bit for same money

actually i plan on BCLK ocing the i5 6500 with the ASRock MoBo i posted earlier so hence the $85 cooler, still ill just post the whole build, ill be right back.

If not, save yourself the $80 as it is basically a waste 😛

Other than that, one other recommendation, get rid of the Kingston SSD, and get a 500GB 850 Evo, that would be much better.
