Can a Gt 740M handle 1440p?

So, I got a simple question for you guys: My friend has a laptop and it’s basic specs are : Gt 740M, i7-4700MQ and I don’t really know the others, and we had a bit of an argument about whether his laptop could handle watching videos in 1440p WITHOUT another monitor, just on his laptop.
If you can’t answer the question without more specs, let me know and I’ll ask him.

The specs you need, and are missing here, are the monitors specs. You would find the answer you are looking for by just looking up the laptops full specs (specifications) online. That would tell you if it could or not. We couldn't with the info given.
