Can an iphone 5 play 720p videos at 720p?

I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question, but can an Iphone 5 play 720p videos at 720p?
Seen as though it only an 1136X640 display, surely it cannot display a 1280 by 720 video at that resolution, just like a 1080p screen cannot display 4k videos at 4k?
I'm sorry if i'm being really dumb 😛

The video will only be played at the resolution of the screen, so with 1136X640 it doesn't matter if it's 720p or 4k, it'll still look like 1136X640.

No, that would require more pixels than the screen has, so it will be downscaled to fit the resolution of the screen.
