Can bios update cause overheating?

I updated my bios on my acer laptop and its overheating. I cant play any games on it right now. Is it because of the bios update, if it is how do i fix it. plss help

I never heard of just a BIOS update causing that problem. More likely just a coincidence, the cause of the overheating lies elsewhere I think.
