Can i connect Dell U2414H to my Macbook without adapter?

Hi,

New Dell monitors come with DisplayPort-miniDisplayPort cable. Specs from the Dell site say that U2414H has mDP, DP1.2 and DP-out (for daisy-chaining) on board. I think user is supposed to plug mDP connector into display and DP connector into graphics card.

The question is: Macbook has mDP on board. Will the display work if I plug the mDP into it and DP into DP1.2 on the display?
