Can I connect my gpu audio to my home theater?

Hi , I need help cuz I don't know what I am doing . Well while I was just sitting around a light bulb popped up in my head and gave me this idea of connecting my audio from my desktop to my home theater but I dunno whether it would make any problems . Can I connect my gpu to my home theater via hdmi just for the audio without the video cuz I'm displaying my video through dvi to my monitor. I need help to understand what am I doing

I'm using a sony dav-dz 350 and an asus gtx 660 direct cu ii oc
My hdmi logos in my hometheater back panel says ''OUT'' and ''ARC'' :/

I would really appreciate any help on this

yes you can you need a digital audio optical cable. and your mb or sound card has to have this port on it. if not there are sound cards out there that has that port. you would plug the cable from the pc into the same port on your home stereo.

Oh snap I don't have an optical out port from my pc or gpu . Well I better buy a bluetooth adapter to connect my pc audio to my home theater . Thanks for your advice 🙂

What is your configuration? No audio onboard or sound card?

Bluetooth is stereo only and will not give you digital surround sound so not the best option . One of these will work it you don't want to do a soundcard with optical audio out.
