Can I enjoy HDR content from my PC while using AVR just for audio?

I plan to upgrade my old 1080p TV with a Sony KD65XE9305 so I can enjoy 4k HDR movies, and 1080p@120Hz for PC gaming, but my current AVR (Yamaha RX-V379) can't passthrough nothing of that. I own a 1070 graphics card, which has 1x HDMI 2.0b port and 3x 1.4 DisplayPorts.
I was wondering if I can connect the PC to the TV via HDMI for full video features, and PC also to the AVR via passive DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, for full HD audio features.

Any of you know if this is possible?

Thank you

You can use a HDMI audio extractor which is support HDR, DVD----HDMI audio extractor------TV
------ audio break out to your AVR
But maybe some difficult to find the product support HDR.

I did the test on my current setup, connecting like that only gives me PCM 2.0 or Dolby Pro Logic II, probably because it's what TV supports, not the AVR. To have full hd sound audio i believe it needs to go PC -> AVR -> TV, not PC -> TV -> AVR

Did some research, found extractors that support HDR, but audio always goes to S/PDIF, so Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio are not supported.
