Can I get 2 Audio outputs with on-board sound or will I need an additional sound card?

I have been slaving over this for a few days now and still cannot wrap my head around it, so I was hoping someone on these forums could help me out overnight.

System Information

Audio Setup

AT2020 Microphone > Phantom Power Supply > Rear Mic In (PC) > Adobe Audition > Rear Audio Out > Mixer XLR In (1)

PC Audio > Front Audio Out > Mixer 1/4 Jack In (5/6)

Mixer Output > Front Mic In (PC)

Problem!

I have the Realtek HD Audio Manager for the ASUS motherboard.

I can separate the Mic In devices, but the Audio Out devices will not separate.

Is there are way to separate the Audio Out devices or will me installing a separate Sound Card (http/www.maplin.co.uk/p/creative-sound-blaster-audigy-fx-sound-card-a50lw) allow for me to have the following run at the same time:

• 
  1 x Audio Out - MOBO on-board sound
  1 x Audio Out - Sound Card

I think you need another sound card (USB / PCI) to get another distinct audio output.

However, your setup has one real fault - you should not use MIC inputs on your PC with line-level outputs!

What do you mean by your last statement? Is there a way that I can have my mic running through my software and then back out to the Mixer, without using my Audio Out jack?

My last statement means that the nominal microphone signal level is much lower than the line signal level. It's like trying to run fire hydrant pipe thru a household piping. Your sound card probably has LineIn jack, use this for mixer' output.

As for your second question - that mixer will need a signal coming from somewhere, doesn't it?

For starters, I do not have the sound card as I wanted to know if I could split the audio out jacks on the PC first.

Secondly, are you saying to not run the microphone through the Rear Mic In jack? That is the standard jack that I have always used and has worked fine in the past.

If not, are you saying to not run the output of the mic through the Rear Audio Out (after Adobe Audition)?

My on-board sound has the following:

• 
  Rear Mic In (Pink)
  Rear Audio Out (Green)
  Rear Line In (Blue)
  Front Mic In
  Front Audio Out

A separate sound card to my MOBO sound did the trick. Both of them are working simultaneously, which is great!

My problem now has proceeded to the next level, which you mentioned in this comment ... it is the microphone.
