With core 2 duo, its a no go, you need atleast quad core to run it smoothly, soo Q6600 or Q8400 (Q8400 has some advantages like SSE4).
Download GPU-Z and post GPU tab, and motherboard tab as i want to see if the "new" cpu would handle it.
