Can I uninstall office and still use word and outlook?

what parts of office 2000 pro xp home edition can I uninstall and keep word 2000 working? and maybe keep outlook as well?

I think in the 2000 version you can specify what Office programs you want to install. You might be better uninstalling everything then only selecting Word and Outlook when reinstalling.

Thanks so much, my version 2000 pro for xp is so hard to understand, It says I can add or remove componants but there are no check marks on the CD to uncheck. I just want to keep word and maybe outlook, explain how to do that please ? and thanks in advance. I put the CD back in and saw no place to uncheck and remove the un needed programs.
